Sony Fraudulently Activities: I feel so violated by Sony. I am disappointed and at a disbelief with this company. There were six $99.99 charges placed on my credit card by Sony, on the same day, and back to back. I reached out to Sony for a refund and they refused to refund me. I explained that this was fraud, obviously. I called several times and talked to several agents and informed them that I did not authorize the charges and that the six $99.99 charges that appears on my account is obviously fraud.
The agents continued to tell me that they would not refund me. I asked them to put their self in my shoes and think about the six unauthorized charges for $99.99. I then explained that this was fraud 101; this basic fraud! Why would I make these charges? No one would help me. I'm just saying Sony is a fraud, a scam artist, and a ripoff that everyone should be aware of!

I dropped off for diagnostic and repair believing that the diagnostic fee of 40 dollars was a one-time charge. They phoned when it was ready for pick up and quoted that an additional 50 dollars was due for the work they completed. I picked up a few days later only to be told that the charge for the work (replaced capacitors) was 59 dollars AND an additional 40 dollars.
The fellow that I spoke with told me that he had "under-quoted me on the phone" and later in the conversation after I protested that the work they performed was actually closer to 200 dollars in value. I have no reason to think they did not do the work or that they don't know what they are doing but any reputable business would provide the customer an updated and accurate estimate of the final cost once the initial diagnostic is performed.
It would be as simple as sending a text message with the recommended fixes and price. That's nothing to expect or ask from a "tech" company. I would not recommend this company and I regret not going with The Geek Squad who, for the price of 199 would have fixed the problem and covered any additional problems for the next year.

Had a friend recommend them to me a few years ago when my laptop wouldn't boot. I suspected the hard drive crashed but mentioned that I had an issue trying to reinstall the operating system (had my own key already). The sales associate told me that it was unlikely to be a hard drive issue and they would just reinstall windows for me. Turned out my suspicion was right, and they ended installing a hard drive and charging me about 3 times the costs of that hard drive without asking me beforehand.
They even tried to charge me an additional $50 or so to install windows until I reminded them that I had my own copy and I could have installed it on my own had the hard drive been working. I'm not planning to return to these guys for my PC part repair that I need now. I suspect the primary technician knows what he's doing, but the front desk workers seemed somewhat incompetent or at the very least, lacking in their ability to communicate with the customer. Things may have changed since then, but my experience with them was disappointing.

Laptop on call has been very helpful each time I have needed them. They make repairs quickly and the cost is reasonable. I have needed to use them twice to make repairs to an iphone 6 and each time the repairs were quick and high quality. I would recommend this business to anyone who needs electronics repaired.

Had to update the OS on a MacBook Pro so that it would receive standard updates and be compatible with browsers, websites, etc. Went in hoping they would have the Install disc which is sold for $20 or less. Not only would they not sell it to me, they claimed that they would have to do it themselves and that it would cost $100 or more. Oh. And I still wouldn't get the install disc. Do your research prior to going to this store so that they don't take advantage of you and rip you off.

I accidentally dropped my laptop and it wouldn't turn on. First I went to Office Depot and they couldn't do anything, so they directed me here. I needed to use my laptop urgently and so I rushed to the store near the closing time. They were still willing to help me in my emergency. The service was excellent and they were able to fully repair my computer at a reasonable price and with only short amount of time.

After stressing all week on what was wrong with my laptop of 4 months and how I was going to get it fixed, I took it to Laptop On Call on Saturday and got it back on Monday. If I had sent it back to the manufacturer like they had asked it would have taken at least 2 weeks to get it back and I would have lost everything. I am so pleased with how quickly Laptop On Call was able to find the problem and fix it. I would recommend Laptop On Call to anyone who is having computer issues.

I stopped by to have a broken hidge repaired with some glue. I was told the glue was not possible and that I needed a new hinge and back. I agreed. Then for $50 they would re-immage my hard drive while saving all of my data. About two weeks later, they called to say my hard drive was bad and that I needed another hard drive. I reluctantly agreed as I was already deep into a $250 repair on a $400 laptop.
When I picked up the laptop, my data WAS not on the new hard drive. I was told it was not recoverable and that I should go to Micro Center for help. I asked for the hard drive back. They reluctantly gave me the hard drive. For the repair, they used so much GLUE they is oozed out. Also, the machine does not close properly and I am using the "bad hard drive RIGHT now". I have sent them three emails and two phone calls. The owner is aways busy and does not respond These people are rip offs! Be ware!

Yesterday my Laptop had the screen broken and I needed it repaired quickly. Here I am thinking it will take a day or so and I was good with that theory. Well I call Laptop on Call and he said he was closing but would stay open for me till 7. I then high tailed across town and arrived there at the store at 6:55. He then told me what it would cost and I was assuming that I would see it in a couple of days.
The worker then tells me he can have it done in 5 minutes and I am like rock on my friend. That is what I call going the extra mile for the customer. I would recommend this store to everyone.

This is not a business, it is a joke. They keep their doors closed and locked and you can call from outside their store and hear their hours and yet, they are closed. You will never get a live voice if you call them and they do not return calls. I have had my computer worked on and it just is not working good at all. Well, I can forget ever having them stand behind their work because they are permanently unavailable. I have left numerous messages. Disgusted with them. I would rate them in the negative category but there isn't one.

I only give Laptop On Call 1 star, because there is not option to give less. DO NOT go here for laptop repairs. These guys are crooks. I took my $1200 Dell computer in to be fixed, because the wire to the power button was broken. After THREE months, they finally called to tell me it was ready, but there was something else that could be fixed, for an additional cost.
I went to see the laptop to find out what they were talking about -- they had removed the trim around the screen, and broken it into pieces (this was NOT broken when I took it in). The laptop screen was also scuffed up, which was not how I had taken it in. I told them I didnt understand why I had to pay for a part they broke, and they tried to tell me it must have already been cracked.
The screen wasn't merely cracked.2 inch pieces were missing from it in several spots around the screen. I was told they could buff the screen, and somebody would call me to discuss the screen molding -- and that they would not charge me. After another month, I received another call from them.they told me my laptop was ready to pick up, and that I was being charged. I've yet to go in and argue with them -- I will not pay for the part they broke and had to replace. I've been without my laptop for about 4 months now, and its in horrible condition.
