Century 23 began in May of 1977, the brain child of Nick and Penny Reese. It was the first computer store in Nevada and one of the first in the world. One of our early displays was a wall full of chips, resistors, capacitors and the like. Penny would man the store from 10:30 am till about 5:00 pm when Nick would arrive from his primary job. Although knowing nothing about electronics at first, she became quite the expert on IC's like the 7400 series and even reading the resistor color code. In 1978, we added the ready-to-go Apple II's and have been with Apple ever since.

I brought my 2011 27 iMac here to be repaired a few years ago. I never got a phone call from them about my computer, got pregnant and forgot about it. new baby and busy life, still didn't remember until one day I get a voice mail about picking up my hard drive. Omg! I forgot all about my computer! I go to pick it up and I'm handed my hard drive. I ask where the rest of my computer is and the gentleman looks it up in his computer and then points it out to me (explains to me that they had planned to donate it), I ask if it's all there and he tells me it is.
They had replaced the power supply for me but I had passed on the GPU issue they informed me of because I know that the fix for the GPUs in this model are just a bandaid and the problem would continue to recur. Low and behold, I order a different GPU that is compatible and the parts sit for about a month before I have the time to install them. I get my tools out, remove the glass and the LCD screen only to find that half my computer parts have been gutted from my computer!
Full list of everything I could find missing from my computer: Hard drive mounting bracket LED driver board Center cooling fan GPU cooling assembly 8GB DDR3 SDRAM and 35 screws from what I can tell. Where's the integrity? And the rest of my computer!?!?

Warning! Only going to give one star because they were nice. But look at how they installed and repaired my Imac! Here is what my friend said after my computer crashed and he got to look inside, and I quote "So I'm going to take a wild guess that this is the cause of your drive issues. This SSD isn't mounted to anything besides the rear bezel, which is incredibly sloppy work.
They also didn't bother to blow out the unit with compressed air to clean out caked on dust. This allows heat to remain trapped inside the unit, which degrades the components." I hope they don't do this kind of repair on anyone who trusts them to upgrade their Imac! Thanks, Mark

These folks are top-notch, the best of the best. I became aware of them in the mid-1980's. They were located across from the Meadows Mall, at the time. They ran a Bulletin Board Service (BBS) which was a sort of precursor to the Internet, where each person/business would have their own "server" for people to call into, rather than today, one would have their own website. City-wide renowned for their work on Apple computers, even before the first Macintosh. Fortunately, Macs are well-built, so I don't have to use Century 23 often, but when I've had the opportunity, it is sheer pleasure.
Their repairs are quick and lower cost. They are certified by Apple, and have been since it seems like forever. Even better than their abilities and prices is the warm customer service. Family owned, they take the time to talk WITH you, not AT you. They listen to your needs and work hard to ensure you're completely satisfied. I simply cannot say enough good things about this business. If you have a problem with your Apple computer, look to them for help. You will not be disappointed.

Took my computer in to get fixed. Had to call to see when it would be ready. When I went in to pick it up 2 weeks after I had dropped it off, they hadn't done anything and then had the nerve to say that it would only take a few houra to fix. It left me wondering why they never did anything to fix my computer if it only took a few hours and why they never called me. Do NOT take your computer here unless you want to waste your time.

Outstanding service and skill. Needed a battery for my Macbook Air. After a couple hours spent trying to reach Apple, go to their store, stand in line to schedule an appoint to stand in line again, with estimate of 300 dollars and them saying they needed my computer 2 days, I called Century. Their response? 128 bucks and 10 minutes. Drove over, got it done, and was out of there in no time. Awesome crew. Won't darken Apple's door again for a repair ever.

Honestly, better than the Apple Store and Genius Bar. Not joking. I took my 2007 iMac to the Apple Store and was basically told that everything on my hard drive would have to be recovered by Drive Savers and that that would cost me over $1,000. I had to get a second opinion and I took it to Century 23. I loved the fact that it is a family-owned and operated business.
You don't see that too often any longer. They were very nice and diagnosed by problem at NO COST to me. Once they discovered they could attempt to recover my hard drive using their software they charged me less than $100 and did not give me a lecture about backing my stuff up. That alone was refreshing. Everyone is just very down to earth but professional and very knowledgeable.
They were able to recover my entire hard drive! Also, a big thank you to Ron for going above and beyond and installing a new hard drive on my iMac at very little extra cost to me. Just a wonderful experience! If you have a Mac and you have an issue, support this local family business!
