Gigabox Computers

My computer fan stopped working so I was desperate to get it fixed. I called Dell and they had 2 options to get it diagnosed. Send the computer to them for $39 + tax, standard shipping, and in 12 -15 days they would contact me with a price to fix it or pay $59 +tax for express shipping to get a call back in 5 to 7 days. Neither was a good option for me.

I need my laptop every day. I went to Best Buy, (Geek Squad) to see if they could fix it in the store and get it back to me in a day or two. Unfortunately, they would need to send it out to their repair facility, and it would cost $70 to diagnosis it. Again, not an option. Then my friend told me that she goes to "GIGABOX Computers" in Daly City, CA whenever she has a problem with her laptop and they fix it right away.

I went there and it was fixed in one day. The price for the diagnosis goes towards any repair. The man, I think he is the owner, is so nice and very computer savvy. I even had him back up my computer for me. The prices are competitive and the turn around time is quick. You don't have to send your computer to some unknown place and wait for a call.

There was a small piece of the clip from the battery door that broke off inside, oh BTW the GEEK SQUAD changed the battery 3 weeks before), and it was obstructing the fan operation. The man removed the debris and only charged me for the diagnosis. He is honest; he didn't try to sell me a new fan, etc. I highly recommend this business and it will be my one-stop shop for computer issues.

They definitely know what they are talking about. I had them retrieve data from some broken hard drive. Glad I found them

Late post: My mom has been complaining about her laptop being some. Granted it's an old laptop but Tommy was very patient, knowledgeable and explained things in layman terms. I was very impressed that I decided to drop off an old laptop for him to wipe clean so my father can use it to help his brain functioning by doing some crossword puzzles. Tommy, thank you for all your help! Parking is a bit challenging but definitely worth coming here for your repair needs.

I brought a laptop in for diagnostic service and quote for possible repairs. Tom was very informative about the laptop brand's reputation of being "meh". He was upfront about expectations but assured me that he would do what he can. After finding the problem, as expected, the cost of repair (mostly the parts needed) was almost half of what I paid for the laptop. Tom gave me a few options, but I decided to leave the junk with him for recycling. I'm sure he would have done a great job if I proceeded with repair.

Great little shop. Tommy took care of my computer fast. Great personality, and very knowledgeable. Went the extra mile for me too. Went to best buy first, but they wouldnt even let me drop it off "by appointment only" (in a snobby voice) lol

Tommy gave a reasonable price to get my computer repaired. I had a problem with the fan overworking and he solved the problem the next day! He is the only worker there and a lot of people come for help with their devices there. He was awesome! I'm glad I heard about him through my friend.

I've used Gigaboc multiple times for computer repairs over the years. They do a great job at a reasonable price.

Excellent service, quick turnaround, highly satisfactory repair on Lenovo Yoga 730. Tommy was exceptionally pleasant to interact with and also professional, providing a detailed and accurate quote upfront, as well as status updates (on parts' ETA and estimated completion date) until the laptop was fully repaired (less than a week after drop-off). He really does go the extra mile for the client. Responsive to email. 30-day warrantee on labor. Definitely would recommend, and would return to Gigabox for future repair needs.

Nice guy but he wanted to charge $150 for labor to replace the screen on my computer. I ended up getting the screen on eBay for $70 and poped the old one off and plugged the new one in in 7 minutes. Maybe, I should start up a computer repair business.

Tommy was very thorough with inspecting my pc. As a person who is less tech savvy but wants to continue playing games on the PC, he was very helpful in diagnosing the issues my pc had while Helping replace faulty parts. He's speedy and very clear.

Genuinely was impressed with Tommy's professionalism and thoroughness throughout my whole experience with Gigabox Computers. A little background story: I had a laptop that needed some work to be done to it. I called around a few IT shops around the area to check for quotes and etc. Lucky me, I also called Gigabox Computers, what made me choose them versus others, was how patient and transparent Tommy was. Honest! This happened about 4 years ago. My daughter's polaroid tablet was broken. The charging port was loose and I brought it at their shop. Guy said that it will be way cheaper to buy a new tablet than to pay them to "micro weld" the port that's broken inside the tablet. If the shop was in for the money, they could have just accepted the repairs. Also bought a PC for power issues and fixed it for cheap. They even made the start up time faster.

My MacAir wouldn't open any website. Tommy @ Gigabox Computers fixed my problem for $20. Tommy's honest & cool.

Tommy built a computer for my Mom a few years ago and has provided great service ever since. He has stopped by her place a few times recently to take care of some issues she couldn't deal with herself. Tommy in very patient and helpful.

I would give Tommy any number of stars available. He was warm and figured out what was needed for my poor computer (which I spilled *maybe* some champagne on). Despite needing to clean up the hardware, get a new keyboard, and installing it, i got my computer back in about a week. The computer is up and running again, and Tommy's pricing was very reasonable. I brought my laptop in because it was overheating. I needed some custom parts which needed to be ordered. They were easy to work with, straight forward, and honest, and got the job done well. I was particularly happy with the testing they did on the laptop, it was clear that they knew how to do the job correctly, and they were transparent with the process and results.

I had previously tried working with another computer store in the area and had a lot of trouble with followup which was not the case here. They took the information, kept me informed while parts were in order, and were clear about any unknowns along the way.

I wanted to upgrade my original computer, swap motheboard/cpu and install watercooling, My original case didnt fit the components and I brought it in, I explained what I wanted to do, they tried to fit the watercooler with my original case but I told them I'd buy a new case. Left my computer with them to do the transfer of components, got it back within 24 hours, fastest turnover I've had. Employees were extremely professional and helpful explaining concerns with my setup, how to take care of the watercooler.

Professional, Knowledgeable and customer friendly and expert technicians. I know as a retired IT Manager these are the people to trust with your computers! Patient, friendly crew of technicians who work here. Having worked retail IT a long time ago, I am impressed and grateful for their upfront honesty and pricing. Even though they were not able to resolve the issue on my laptop, they were good about foreshadowing the procedure and costs. They went even further to try and find the fault and a solution. In the end, it was simply not cost effective to proceed. Yet, they certainly under promised and over delivered for me. Thanks Albert and Tommy!

Took my computer to get fixed multiple times and always top quality service. Even when a part that they replaced had broken due to a defect they swapped it free of cost. Thats called integrity folks. Couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommended

The best place for any issue with pc, laptop etc. I spilled tea on my tower looked for help everywhere. I found this place online. I needed my pc asap as it was my only work tool and they fixed it in the shortest time possible. My cpu and motherboard was fried up and I went to a store. When I came back it was past his scheduled time to close but he waited for me. The owner is very skilled and nice person. Would recommend 100%.
