Took my old laptop in to Robert. He told me it was about to crash. (I thought it was just the monitor about to go out). I'm not very tech- savvy. He spoke to me in layman's terms. He had a couple of new lap-tops he was refurbishing himself, which were only 2 yrs old. He has 3 engineering degrees in computers! He hooked me up with a lap top, put all my old info on the new one, so I didn't really have to do anything to get started on my new lap-top. At a great price, too. Highly recommend! Thanks Robert!

I was afraid my issue was too simple for this business, as he does I.T. for alot of companies. I was wrong. Robert was awesome. He checked my 15yr old laptop & hooked me up with a 2 yr old Apple Mac, that he refurbished himself. He's got 3 engineering degrees. He spoke to me in simple terms, which is exactly what I needed. Stopped in today to see about getting my laptop fixed. Robert looked at it and adjusted a few things and fixed it. The laptop is old and way outdated. He could have strung me a long and charged me for erroneous upgrades but he was up front and honest. I was there for less than ten minutes and left a very happy person.and he didn't even charge me for his time. I would have no.problem coming here If the need arises in the future! Thank you!

If you're having any problems with your Mac go Here! I dropped my computer off at two different locations in berkeley, fix your Mac was the worst! 5 days later and they hadn't even looked at it. My hard drive was ancient. Techsavies installed a new hard drive, transferred my data and helped me problem solve for a reasonable price. They are friendly, fast/ efficient, affordable, and a convenient location. Look no further.

In a past life/years ago, I worked as an IT professional (Sys Admin for a few places, then MIS for CRM software company) - but I have run a small, local food business since 2003 and, since tech is a small but necessary aspect of business, I manage all the various in-house technology related issues myself. However, I have have less & less time or interest in dealing with computer crisis, broken stuff, etc.

Techsavies is a Life Saver! I run my business through my laptop, and the power receptacle broke. And while I did have my Surface as a back-up, doing any real work on the miniaturized device is problematic at best. So I searched Yelp and found SF Computer Repair to be highly recommended. I dropped off my laptop with Del before 2pm on Friday, and he called me just a few hours later -- It's Fixed! It's Fixed!

I had the worst day yesterday and to top it off my Lenovo Yoga decided to not turn on. This is my work laptop, so for it not to turn on so I could do my EOM billing and just general work was a major bummer. I had passed this shop on Polk many times walking around the neighbourhood, so my first thought was to take it here. Mainly because of the close proximity to my apartment.

I called and then popped over to drop off my laptop. Got a call a couple of hours later and it was fixed for a very fair price. Very nice guy, he told me what the problem was. I'm very pleased and if I have another problem I will be back!

A few months into the stay at home work order my laptop would not boot; it did not even recognize that I had Windows on it and had defaulted to the initial HP set up screen. I left a message before the business opened; a bit later Robert called me back and invited me in. I dropped off my laptop, and he found my data, saved it, and then wiped and reloaded Windows 10.

I got my computer back the same day, which is a big deal when the world is working from home and our offices are unavailable. I appreciate how Robert worked to get me my data and computer back the same day. I waited a month to write this review, in order to see how everything works, and I would definitely return to this business.

While it's best to not need repairs in the first place, when the moment inevitably arises this is 100% the place to go. Robert was fantastic to work with to see if he could fix my laptop. Sadly there was nothing he could do, but I felt confident he had exhausted every possible option and really cared about fixing it. He also spent a lot of extra time describing best practices for storage and safety for my next purchase. Will be going back to him next time!

I am writing this review to strongly recommend the services of Techsavies. Robert, the co-owner, is a solutions-oriented person with a desire to get things done. My husband and I took him a dead computer with very low expectations of a recovery. Robert not only recovered the data we feared had been lost, but he also brought the computer back to life.

He gave us useful information on solid state vs spinning disk hard drives and made several suggestions about how to handle the problems going forward. He spent a good deal of time explaining the how and whys of what he was doing. All and all, working with Techsavies was a very positive experience, and we paid a fair price for the services. We were very satisfied and would recommend Techsavies without hesitation or reservation.

After hours on the phone with Microsoft, I went to Techsavies and Marouan diagnosed my issue within 5 seconds. A couple of hours later, my Toshiba laptop was fixed. Great experience and I highly recommend coming here for your computer issues.

After my hard drive stopped working, they fixed it at a reasonable price and got not only all my photos/videos back but my documents as well! Great and fast service -- would recommend!

So I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes coming here, I had passed by it a hundred times. Nothing against the place, I'm just used to going to an Apple Store or Best Buy for tech help but let me tell you, I am so glad I came here. I had an old HP laptop that I wanted to gift to my cousin and I didn't know how to reset it. The man who helped me was so nice and he took time to teach me about how this laptop operated.

He showed me what the process looked like (he had one that I could hold in my hand) how it worked and he took his time. We could hear a clicking when we turned it on and he explained with the loose part what that clicking was. He gave me a good deal to install a new processor that will last my cousin a long time. I realize it was an upsell, I asked to reset the laptop but had I sent it to her as is it probably would have given out after a short period of use and that would have been a terrible gift.

I am not technologically savvy so it was so nice to have someone take the time with me to break down how things work so I had a clearer understanding of my device and what I was paying for. He also had some leftover laptop specific bubble wrap and he gave it to me so I could pad my laptop before sending it. Great service, please support this small business!

Excellent service at a reasonable price. The owner took the time to understand my problem (a locked company-provided computer from a company that unfortunately went out of business and no longer had tech support to help unlock) and was able to help me do a factory reset and install the modern software onto my laptop. He was prompt, told me about any risks, allowed me to make decisions about my risk vs. reward choices, and delivered a fabulously working product that ultimately saved me from having to buy a new computer!

I felt much better here than I had at other cell phone stores or repair stores which always felt a bit shady or used non factory supported parts. Here you get intelligent diagnostics and realistic / professional solutions.

I went in late on Friday with a computer problem. He stopped what he was doing as he was the only one there during corona lockdown. He said let me take a look at it now and if I can fix it then its a small fee. Within 15 minutes he found the problem and I was on my way. It was something I didn't consider being a problem. I had an issue with my macbook's keyboard and user interface. I asked to book an appointment via Techsavies' online contact form. Once I arrived, he promptly told me about a recall that Apple was doing for macbooks, and that I should go to the Apple Store to get the issue fixed. This store owner easily could have charged me to fix this problem. However, he showed his integrity and honesty by letting me know about how I could get this issue fixed, free of charge, by someone else. Between the quality of service, honesty, integrity, and speed of response, I will definitely come back here if I have any issues with my electronics in the future.

I came here recently to have a virus removed from my laptop. Robert has very prompt to solve my computer issue and was able to pick up my laptop, the next day. Robert was personable and very professional, and would recommend his service to anyone.

Most kind and thoughtful service that i ever got from anyone recently. I went here for data recovery for MacBook Pro so i can recycle it and get new one. Bob was prompt at replying, willing to wait after store hours. Highly recommend!

This is a very honorable business. I spilled wine on my MacBook Pro and Marvin completely disassembled it, cleaned all its components, and reassembled it. It stopped working again and Marvin stood behind his work, and took my computer back and redid everything again. He saved my computer and it still works until this day. I spent $300 instead of burying a new one for $2000. Marvin is the man! And anytime i have any issues with computers I'm going here first! All work was done professionally and in a timely fashion, thanks again Marvin!
