Ron Worked on my internet issue. I wanted stronger signal strength. He came out to my property Mapped the property for signal strengths. He recommended what equipment I should purchase, came out installed. Done. Were online, fast! Great signal strength!. Everything he told me was a fact obviousness from knowledge. He was friendly, prompt, and will be our computer specialist from here on. FYI, I spent 4 hours on the phone with Comcast, etc, and WHAT a waist of time! Thanks Ron! f

I'm writing to express how satisfied we are using S.C. Digital for over 3 yrs now. Ron has been instrumental in helping us with many different IT issues we have had over the years. I trusted Ron to resolve issues with my computers on a few occasions. Each time Ron showed up he would say at some point, "I never seen this kind of issue." I've finally ended my relationship with him. Over time, I've come to realize his skills are quite limited. Also, his willingness to research computer issues described to him ahead of time were something he was unwilling to do and/or were simply beyond his limited skills.
My computer issues were not anything out of the ordinary in terms of repairs. He would rather be paid by you for his time educating himself online while trying to diagnose & fix your computer. Then, he'll ask to be paid for a computer problem he was not able to resolve or resolve correctly. He also sells software without a registry number, which means, it cannot be reloaded onto any of your new computers.
You will need to purchase it all over again. He fails to tell people this at the time of purchase. This third and last visit, he did not resolve my issue, which he was still paid handsomely to not resolve. It was simply beyond his skills. He knew that and still charged me for his educational time to try and learn how to resolve. Your computer problem should not be worse after you've hired an apparent expert to fix it. I've had to pay another company all over again to undo the mistakes he made with my hard drives. Further, the follow up computer repair company I hired took 1/3 of the time to resolve my issue & charged less than half of what Ron charged me. Further, he had the audacity to take without the intention of returning, 8 gigs of ram from the motherboard of my failed computer he transferred data from.
This is stealing in anyone's book. Ron is not welcome in my house as a person or for computer repair. Ron, you until this week were the only person to ever transfer my iTunes library. In fact, three times. Each time you did it, it was more difficult and took you more time to sort out every time you touch it. In the 3rd transfer, you messed it up so badly, you couldn't fix the issues you created. Hence, it took a person with the proper computer skills to fix the issues only you created. So, your description of polluted iTunes would be completely because of your incompetence alone.
With a new experienced technician, it purrs like a kitten. It's organized correctly, the music is in the correct folders without 1-4 duplicate folders. It also doesn't make that awful screeching sound every time you play a music or video file. The new tech confirmed to me that the problems I was experiencing were from Ron incorrectly transferring data from hard drives on three occasions.
With each one of his transfers, the problems became worse and worse. I am sorry you left your bag at my house. I was the person who told you it was here. I told you that I was sorry that I could not meet you on the day you wanted it back. I was not in Santa Cruz. When I was back in town Monday, I priority mailed your equipment & payment for next day delivery. So, I don't even know why you would make such a comment now.only to say you get extremely angry and unbalanced when things don't go as you expect them.
This is what caused me not to meet with you. In terms of the ram from my motherboard that was missing, I had to learn this from the other computer company that repaired my computer. The tech told me it was missing. If not for them, who knows when I would have know it was missing and if you would have been able to return it to me at a later date. At the very least, you were careless with the property inside my only 5-6 year old computer.
A computer brand computer you highly recommended and ended up being the worst computer I ever owned. I requested you let this be done but, you cannot let things go. Please take the time to look inward as to why our customer relationship became an issue as I mentioned in my last email after, in which, you called me a disgusting person. It was your lack of skills that made me not want you to ever touch another one of my computers. Then, it became your scary tone of flying off the handle when I told you I didn't need to come back make a no charge attempt to fix the damage you created.
For me, enough was enough. Not even for free was I going to allow you to inflict more damage on another one of my new computers. Especially, more on a new one. I told you politely that you didn't need to come back as I enlisted another vendor, which turned out to be the right decision. Also, that I was sorry that I was unable to meet you on the day you requested to give you back your bag of tools.
You proceeded to take an angry tone. At that point, I knew it was not safe to have you to my house or see you again in person. Please share our text exchange to anyone who reads this review and choses to use your services to confirm what I've written here. My post was only meant to save anyone else the issues that I've been put through using Ron's services.

My daughter is away in Santa Cruz at school so I was helpless when she ran into laptop problems. I contacted Ron at SC Digital Solutions and he took a personal interest in helping her with her laptop over a weekend. He even called me on a Sunday morning to discuss some of the technical issues. I now have a trusted PC shop I can count on if (when) future issues arise. Thanks, Ron!

We called Santa Cruz DSL on a random basis from a web search over three years ago when our old wired network started to fail. They responded very promptly and they have taken care of our network; five computers and five printers every since on both APPLE and Windows platforms. I wouldn't even think of EVER calling anyone else again. We primarily deal with Ron Septimus and even though many months may go by between his visits he remembers details about our network and systems the rest of us have forgotten long ago.
He always responds as quickly as he can which is usually heaven-sent. and in my experience quite rare. Ron is the consummate professional but still friendly and easy-going. He has trained me how to do things myself when typically other techs would wait for me to fail so they could come out an bill us again. He also troubleshoots global issues from our past bad practices and has been very, very helpful! Great service at a great price!
