Absolutely fantastic service. Chris kept me in the loop the entire time and made sure I knew exactly what to expect when it came to the cost to fix. My computer was in and out in 2.5 days and is working like new! Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing customer service! They will give updates on all possible tech repairs needed and check in with you prior to doing the labor to give you a break down of cost and options. My macbook has suddenly been giving me a few difficulties and 1201 has been my go-to spot! They are only operating my appointment, but are so quick to respond.

These people are so nice! I would definitely use them again but let's hope my kid doesn't step on his laptop again

Seriously the best customer service I have ever received. I needed data recovery services and they went above and beyond to keep contact about my issue while I waited for an open time. Although they weren't successful in recovering my data (didn't charge me a dime), they offered to send my sd card to another business that does more in dept data recovery. Nicest people and super helpful.

I had a great experience! The staff was very responsive and communicative, and the price for the repair services I needed was affordable. I really appreciate their help, and will return in the future if needed.

Such a great experience with these guys, they were really communicative and determined to solve my problem with a dead hard drive and managed to recover it fully. The pricing was really fair and they were completely accommodating to my schedule and timing (and had COVID safety measures in place)

Love this place. Justin was very helpful. I did not know when a battery is dead that it acts as a resister. Turns out what In really needed was a $15 thumb drive to start the process.of decommissioning my old HP. So many other places would have taken advantage of the situation. I have been coming here for 10 years and would never take my computers anywhere else.

This company is tremendous. They have restored my faith that there are still companies out there that put service and customers first. I took my laptop in for repair a few weeks ago. The machine is under an extended warranty (through a citibank/costco arrangement) and the administrator of the warranty is making me jump through hoops before signing off on the repair. 1201 diagnosed the issue with a few days and wrote me an estimate.

When the adjuster wanted more information, Blake at 1201 went the extra mile. He wrote me a new estimate on letter head with all the info the insurance company wanted and took photos of the machine showing all the serial numbers and parts. I'm confident he's covered everything they can possibly ask for. I'm so impressed and would recommend this shop for any repair work based on what I've seen so far. The repair isn't complete yet, so I'll update if anything goes awry, but I just cannot imagine they'll mess it up. The seem so competent and above all honest.

Ok deadass they didn't fix my computer so Idk how their repairs are but when I showed up and explained my situation the person who greated me was like "hey hey it's prrrrobly gonna be more expensive to fix this computer and this brand is bad anyway" he told me about all these other computers and which ones would be good and even gave me a guide for when I go get a new computer! The service alone was amazing and the people are so genuine 10/10

I tooo my 2013 iMac computer in on Friday, got a text with the issues on Monday and just picked it up on Tuesday. It's like brand new! The 1201 guys were professional, friendly, fast and got the job done. i also didn't break my bank account getting my computer fixed and upgraded! Can't recommend these guys enough!

Did you guys buy your 5 star reviews? I waited for my computers screen to be fixed for more than a month. They ended up not being able to repair it, and gave me my beautiful laptop back in broken pieces! I then brought it to comprite and now they are saying that cannot reboot it to windows! I have tried calling this business and 100% of the time goes to voice-mail. I trusted you guys and it came back in BROKEN PIECES. I am have tried everything to not leave a bad review for this place, but seriously man.

They were the only MacBook repair shop that was totally honest with me. A shout out to the technician who helped me: you're a legend, Alan. Quick, honest, and informative. What more can you want? Their service is a bit pricy, but I'd say it's worth it, the way a Ferrari is worth it. You've got to pay for quality service. Do you genuinely want to risk any additional harm happening to your device? Do you folks realize how much "accidental" damage happens to our electronic property at these other shops? Not at 1201, I trust 1201 with my MacBook's children.

Very best customer service! The website is accurate, the staff is professional, responsive and informed. I had a good idea what was wrong with my desktop. A new hard drive and a thorough go over. Plus I had been considering other upgrades and needed a professional to help guide me. I had used another brick/mortar computer business a few years back and had the best customer service and repairs, sadly he closed his shop. However, those terrific experiences gave me a benchmark of what kind of quality service I wanted.

My search ended with 1201 Computers. BEST, I mean THE BEST decision ever! I am VERY happy with my desktop upgrades and their VERY professional friendly clear communication and service!

I've reviewed this place before, but I'd like to review them again. This is just such an outstanding business. I had a computer that I spilled water on, and basically the short story is they have taken it back and worked on it several times and done everything they can to fix it (including replace parts for free) because they stand behind their work.

I am more than grateful for them, and it so reassuring to know that these guys are in town for all of my computer repair needs. This is truly one of the best businesses I've ever worked with.

This company hands down has been the most amazing experience I've had with computer support and repairs. These folks have helped me through times of stress in college, times of clumsiness and through times of failing hard drives and digital overwhelm! Recently they've helped me with a major data retrieval project. The turn around was surprisingly quick!

This team is absolutely awesome. I was pretty stressed out about my cracked laptop screen but Eddie was so informative, helpful and quick to reach out that he made me feel better about what I knew would be an expensive fix. I'd give these guys ten stars if I could. I'd had my MacBook at another shop for 3 weeks and they hadn't even gotten around to a diagnostic, and no communication with me. So I rescued it and took it to 1201. Matt and Blake were terrific; they kept me apprised of everything, including a minor delay. And Blake even stayed late one night to get the work done so I could have it back by the holiday weekend. Price was just as they quoted. I can't recommend them highly enough. Friendly, honest, good communication, and in my neighborhood (always a bonus).

Welp! I tried to trouble shoot an issue I was having with my 2011 macbook pro, and I ended up making my situation worse. Turns out resetting the PRAM/ NVRAM isn't *always* a) the solution, or b) what you want to do. I submitted a request for an appointment after business hours last night (Tuesday) and Eddie from 1201 called me today to tell me that he thought he could fix my issue fairly quickly and asked if I could I bring my machine today. Ummmm. Yes.

Yes I can. Long story short, I'm back at home, writing this review (on my repaired laptop!) about these wonderful people and their wonderful service because every. single. time I have an issue, they are there for me and they seem genuinely happy to do it. I will also say that I have taken this computer to them before, so I'm sure it helped for them to have notes on my computer's issues and a record of repairs they've made.

Maybe this made it easier for them to squeeze me in? I dunno, but I am beyond grateful and I will continue to recommend these fine folks because their service is second to none. I mean it. Thank you, Eddie!

I don't generally post reviews, but my experience with the good folks of 1201 have been so consistently OUTSTANDING that I must share with the world. These guys are that rare combination of being deeply Mac smart, dedicated to their community of customers, and have tools and skills to tackle tough repairs that you won't likely find elsewhere. Don't even consider going to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store (unless your devise is still under warranty), and head over to SE Portland to get a real repair and service, and at a very fair price. When my 15 year old PC died at the same time as my external back up hard drive I didn't know where to turn. 1201 was GREAT, recovered all my data, and didn't make me feel stupid in the process. Shout out to Blake for patiently answering all my questions. THANK YOU!

I had a great experience getting my computer fixed here. I felt these guys were professional and polite throughout. They were able to fix my laptop despite my spilling water all over it. Good job y'all!

Came to 1201 based on reviews, and because it was close to us. We had an external hard drive that had stopped functioning and started beeping, happening at a very inopportune time. Time was of the essence, so we were more than willing to pay an expedited fee. The folks at 1201 were able to start diagnosing it immediately. I'm not saying they can give this kind of service every time, but within five minutes, they knew that the issues were beyond their abilities, and referred us to another shop that could do the work.

Why five stars even if they couldn't fix it? Because they were friendly, knowledgeable, understanding, and fast, all of which we needed desperately. You can bet that next time I need services, I'll be coming to 1201.

As far as businesses in PDX there's few that have my loyalty more that 1201 Computer Repair. They've had me as a highly enthusiastic customer for about the last 8 years. Justin and all the staff are super friendly, professional, and don't condescend ( which would be easy to do with my computer knowledge) My most recent interaction was with Chris, my desk top was a mess and he put tons of work into it for a very reasonable price.

I recommend 1201 on a regular basis because when a company really stands out they deserve our support. They're always busy, I'm not the only fan, but they work hard to get your problem taken care of in a prompt manner

Thank you 1201, for saving me FROM MY CAT'S DEVIOUS BUTT! SHORT VERSION: THANK YOU for amazing, kind, smart, non-judgmental, thorough, compassionate service when something super stupid happened. LONGER VERSION (aka the "TL;DR" version) - This turned out to be a bigger problem than it appeared, and my hard drive had begun to die anyway. 1201 rescued me from this situation. and I have also slowly repaired my relationship with my cat.

The email I sent to 1201 is below: ---------- "So, I look over and see my cat sitting on my computer. No big deal. usually. This time, he somehow renamed the hard drive, to a very long name of all special characters. Because the file name is so long, I cannot access anything stored in it anymore. I tried to change the name but it will not take any name changes I try.

I have tried the below steps and it did not work. When I try through that method I get this error message: "Try using a name with fewer characters, or with no punctuation marks." No matter what I use. I am not skilled in using the terminal, so I did not want to try to mess with it from there. Do you think you can help me? If so, I would like to make an appointment to come in."

I took my Macbook here after I began experiencing what I thought was a harddrive issue. The guys took it in and got it back to me fixed a couple days later - it turned out to be a less serious cable issue. What I appreciated most was the clarity of pricing. They told me how much it'd cost upfront in writing (they even post general cost of services on their website, ) and reiterated the costs as they updated me about where they were in repairs. If you're looking for quality repairs at a clear price, stop here first.

Great guys. After my computer's motherboard died, I took my computer to these guys. Funny thing is I just had my computer fixed by another company who claimed the motherboard was replaced and working. Lo and behold I found that out not to be true. Although I technically did not get a service, they were super nice enough to look at my computer and come up with a diagnosis. Thanks, guys!

Also wanted to add that when I came to pick up my laptop, there was no charge! They said since they couldn't fix the problem it would be $0. What an honest group of guys! Hopefully I won't be back because I'll have a spanking new computer, but just in case I know where to go!
