Found an old lap top in the summer house. Would turn on for about a minute then it would shut down. Hate to see it trashed so took the computer to DigiComputing Systems. Staff was friendly and gave a free review. Called me and said needed to be cleaned and not much hard drive space. They didn't recommend fixing it because would be very slow. Charged me $40 and fixed the problem. Computer is up and working and I am very pleased.

I've never suffered a hard drive crash til last week and David is just the person I'd have wished for to help me out of it. I first found him on Lenovo's official site for authorized repairs, then read all the great reviews here on Yelp. He lived up to all of them: recuperated data I couldn't retrieve and reinstalled the OS and all my software. He's very friendly and easy to work with and while I have no point of comparison on prices, his seem very reasonable to me. So all-in-all an excellent experience (except for the reason for going to him in the first place;-)

I chose Digicomputing because their location was easily accessible by MUNI and because of their positive reviews on Yelp. I am thrilled with the service that David was able to provide and recommend him without hesitation. I had two external hard drives that I wanted to recover data from. One was a fine drive, but it had a weird proprietary power cord that I wasn't able to replace, so that one was easy enough for David to remove the drive and put it in another machine.
The second drive had crashed, but David was able to recover all of the data except for one inconsequential video file. I bought a brand new hard drive from Best Buy that unfortunately didn't work; the manufacturer's customer service recommended I just bring it back for a replacement, which I did and then everything worked perfectly. I expected to lose a lot of my data (over 300GB total) and am so happy that David was able to recover essentially everything. He did ask me to pay by cash if I could, which was fine for me, but if you plan to pay by credit card, check with him first to make sure he's set up for that.

I have a business near the Flood Building and when my laptop took a dive today, I googled up computer repair places near me, Digicomputing was the closest. I got David on the phone, walked over and was up and running within 45 minutes. David was fast, knew exactly how to replace the corrupted file, and we had a great conversation. Nice bonus to find a quality repair shop so close. I'll be back for sure, I try hard to patronize nearby small businesses.

Digicomputing Systems has been a real life saver for me. David, the owner, is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. I recently had some troubles with my computer (Windows) and I was unable to fix the problem myself. Seeing that the new semester in school was going to start up in less than a week, i needed a solution to this situation fast! A friend recommended I go visit David.
I scheduled an appointment and went to go visit him at his office. After taking a look at the machine he quickly assessed the problem and presented a quick and easy solution. A few hours later my computer was back in running order and he was able to salvage the files off my old hard disk. I even got a bigger hard disk to boot! Overall I was very pleased with David's service and I have no regrets about going to him to get my computer issue resolved. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for fast, easy, and honest computer repairs.

Last weekend somehow, someway, my Mac computer reformatted my external hard disk. I've never figured out how it happened but suffice to say I completely freaked out because it is a 1 Terabyte hasddisk of all my 4 years worth of data. Worse, it was my backup unit and I had just recently wiped the other one too. I tried a great deal of things but I think most people would know that most reliable data recovery programs for Mac computers are usually faulty as hell or super expensive.
I found David as I was running around the huge building which had a few other stores who could not offer me a good price for my data recovery as the amount of data I lost would take quite a number of hours and they charged per hour (cut throat price for someone who only uses her system for personal and school use). David solved my problem quickly and charged me USD250 for the entire thing, tax included.
He was also nice and completely understanding as he explained his process to me well enough for me to understand the small kinks that comes with data recovery and anything I was not entirely sure of. He seems a little quiet but if you ask him anything regarding your problem he's sure to answer you. The price, may sound pricey to some, but considering that people charge close to USD80 per hour and it took a good 25 hours for mine.
Its good to know that he doesn't take advantage of the fact and charges a decent flat price. He finished the entire thing for me in 2 business days. I highly recommend him for computer matters! NOTE: Bring cash for him, he prefers to only accept cheques from companies and he doesn't really accept credit card! Call him before you do a drop in too as he is the only one who works in his office and he may not be in the office at the time.

We have worked with David Chen of Digicomputing Systems for three years. I can't count the number of times he has come and rescued us when a power supply burned out or a modem stopped working. We were always back up and running in a short time. David is so helpful and so honest. He really knows how to keep our law office in good shape! I highly, highly recommend him!

David from Digicomputing Systems is my new best friend. For real. Recently, my oh-so-overworked external hard drive went kaput and I was terrified of losing a lifetime of photographs. I looked around on-line for a friendly seeming data recovery company who would understand my concerns and help me find out quickly if my photos could be recovered. Several companies wanted me to ship the drive to them, other companies wanted to charge 2x their normal price for rush service, and still others didn't seem knowledgeable enough to suit me.
I was pretty sure that I wasn't going to escape the situation without spending a small fortune on data retrieval and a new external drive. Here's where David comes in. (I found him on Google.) When I called him and he actually answered the phone himself (a huge bonus, in my book). Not only did he keep me calm, but seemed immediately familiar with the model of external drive I have and it's power-supply problems.
He suggested that I probably just needed a new drive enclosure, versus a new drive. He provided a quote over the phone for the cost and made an appointment to come to my home that SAME NIGHT (another huge bonus). Other data retrieval companies charge upwards of $500 for their service, and can take up to 2 weeks turnaround time. David came to my home the same day, brought the parts my drive needed, and retrieved my data for under $200.
Money VERY well spent. I've had other in-home computer techs whom I've paid well, but generally left the situation worse off than it had been. Not so, David. He rocks. I would definitely call him again.
