What an outstanding service. I called Laptop MD when I accidentally damaged a MacBook Air screen at work. I needed to find an affordable, professional, and quick place for repair. Don't waste your time with the Apple store - the costs are comparable but here, there's no line. Kevin was extremely helpful in asking me about model number, and offering an estimate and timeline immediately. They delivered on time and the notifications were excellent. HIGHLY recommend.

The technician always fixes my laptop or desktop fast and it works fine without any issues. I highly recommend them. I've been coming to them for years. They also have good hours. I wouldn't go somewhere else. I'm not even trying to fix a computer myself anymore. I come here instead.

For the dogs they use refurbished replacement parts manager is a piece of trash.

Apart from the speed with which they fixed my laptop, they were able to update me via text messages and email about the status of the parts they ordered for my PC. Really transparent and trustworthy people.

I came to Laptop MD very worried about my desktop and a lot of contents that was not backed up. It was stuck in a Bios boot loop and would not let me into the OS. I tried a lot of things I saw online but nothing worked for me. I called them and spoke with Kevin, who was awesome, and reassured me that they would be able to work on it. Not only were they fast, but they were able to recover all of my data from my corrupted drive.

I had a lot of valuable files, sentimental and work related, and I was ecstatic to hear that they were able to save all of it. It costs to get good service but I don't mind when they do a good job! Thanks LaptopMD

I so appreciated how kind and responsive Kevin was from my first call. Turn around time was half a day! They replaced my hard drive, cleaned up my laptop beautifully and now it's working like brand new and the price was fair. Very grateful.

I brought in my Macbook Pro for a trackpad replacement. The price was fair. After using the laptop the battery doesnt last more than 30 min now. Battery Cycle was at 0 when I picked it up. Didnt throw a red flag being they had to remove the battery to replace the trackpad. I brought the laptap to Apple and they told me that the battery was in fact changed with the trackpad and they did use an apple battery!

Nothing was told to me about changing the battery and they didnt use an apple battery so now Im at apple spending more money to get a new trackpad with a new Apple battery! Thats the way it comes from apple! THis place was cheap but you get what you pay for! Be CAREFUL! This place is not honest! If they were honest with me I would of had apple do the repair from day one!

Very professional, effective and quick. I needed to change my laptop battery and speakers but required it to be fixed asap and they did it in less than two days. Kevin at the desk was really polite and helpful. Will surely recommend this place for all your laptop repair needs.

Expert and dedicated! In business for over 20 years, you will not find a better outfit. This is my second visit to LaptopMD. In both cases their work was spot-on. The first involved a crashed hard disk from which they recovered all my data using dedicated forensic tools. On the second occasion they concluded my laptop's motherboard had failed.

At first I was not quite convinced, never having heard of such a thing. But my own analysis spurred on by theirs--I am an engineer by training--led me to agree. They charged nothing for their diagnosis even though they invested time and effort. LaptopMD has my complete trust.

These guys are great! My laptop (7-8 years old) gave up the ghost while I was traveling (of course) so here I am in a city I don't know with a non-functioning computer. Inquired on their website abs they responded by email AND phone in just a couple hours. Convinced, I took the unit in. They replaced my dying hard drive with a new SSD unit and upgraded to Windows 10 for less than $300. and got it done in ONE DAY! Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend these folks. They seem to know their stuff, priced reasonably, and they're quick. And they have a 60-day guarantee. What more could you ask?

I went in with an issue with my laptop not being able to charge. The team member quickly figured out I needed a new charger for my laptop. They were really friendly, great service!

The ONLY place to go to resurrect your broken computer or laptop. Guy fixed my broken charger port in under 4 minutes right at the counter! Took my laptop in to swap out cracked screen. Told me to come back in a week, gave it back to me fixed in TWO DAYS. These peeps underpromise and OVERDELIVER! I've been going to LaptopMD since about 3 or 4 computers ago.

Every time, the best help I could get given the circumstances at prices that were reasonable bordering on supercheap. This time, I shelled out a third of what a new laptop would have set me back to say nothing of all the tweaks and fixes it takes to settle into a new computer. Thank you, LaptopMD! They r such a life saver! Lol I actually drop my MacBook Air into the bathtub full of water and my laptop was dead! was so dead can't even turn it on. I requested a quote immediately on laptop md! And I got an email so fast saying they could help me do a free estimate! Then I took my laptop to their shop the next day! Their services was efficient and it only cost like $395 to fix. I would recommend this place for anyone who need their devices to repair!

Laptop MD was super helpful with Dell laptop repair. My laptop had a mother board issue which took more than 2 weeks to get repaired. After that there was an issue with the wifi port but they helped me figure out a solution to it and were super helpful.

Beware their approach: bait and switch. after a brief phone consultation about a data recovery, they claimed it needed to be brought in for an estimated cost vs advising over the phone. after making the trip to their midtown location, within a minute upon arrival, and without any inspection, they claimed it cost half the price of the phone for data recovery. given they could have advised over the phone the high cost, their strategy is not to. since they know most will not pay such a high fee, their tactics are shameful.

They fixed my laptop super quick and for a great price. I had a broken MACBOOK LED Screen, they explained the problem and had it replaced within one week. Definitely recommend.

Came here to get my MacBook repaired after cracking my screen. The staff were super friendly and helpful and efficient, ran diagnostics on the device and gave me a quote right away. I was able to check the status of the repair online and they texted me within a week to pick it up. The screen was repaired perfectly. Would definitely return should I need more assistance.

I own an iPhone 7. I have been experiencing services issues for the past year, but this year has been extremely challenging. I have been to Apple for 2 in- person appointment and multiple over-the-phone appointments. The problem has persisted and I have been extremely frustrated using my iPhone as an iPod. I was recommended LaptopMD by a friend, within 5 minutes of discussing my issue.

I was told that Apple is aware of this problem as it is a defective model and the main logic board needs to be repaired or replaced. They printed me the document and I was out within 10 minutes. They were SO transparent and helpful. I will always come here first when I have any tech issues. Once confronted with the paperwork, Apple "acknowledged" they are aware and "apologized" for any inconvenience.

I came here late and was rushing to fix the speaker issue with my laptop. Very friendly staff and they helped me fix the issue quickly, however, I took off one star because there is no sign at the entrance and it's not clear how to get to the sixth floor since there are no doorman or front-desk at the entrance and the elevator has no buttons. Overall not a bad repair shop.

Update: After a few days of back and forth, it turns out the repair was misdiagnosed. I was told before approving the repair that the problem was a faulty chipset--after paying, coming home, having the same problem, and calling several times over the next few days, I learned that the main problem was a faulty CMOS battery. I have a fresh CMOS battery sitting in my drawer and can replace it in five minutes--I didn't need to pay $75 for that.

After explaining this, the manager offered to refund my $75. As I was told up front, they kept the $100 nonrefundable diagnostic fee. This isn't a great outcome but I think it's fair--removing one star for the waste of time.

After a pretty detailed conversation about my problem (MacBook air screen crack) over the phone I was given a quote of $200 yesterday. I came to the store today and the price was risen from $200 to $350 without any explanation, which was very surprising to me. I think it's really greedy of you and not really fair to behave in such a way especially when every move in the city during pandemic is quite a challenge.

My MacBook Pro wasn't turning on at all and I needed one of my C-USB ports replaced. LaptopMD was able to diagnose the problem easily and quickly fixed my computer. I was nervous going to a place other than apple to fix my MacBook Pro but LaptopMD treated my computer as if it were their own. Cheaper than apple too. Thanks guys! You saved my life- needed it for school!

LaptopMD is my repair guys now! I will bring all my computer problems to them, because they are quick, very professional and responsive! Very honest and their pricing make you come back over and over! My brand new MacBook Pro had problems with motherboard due to liquid damage (I spelt my coffee on it). Stephan was very helpful, ask him to be your tech.

He showed me what was damaged on the motherboard and sent me pictures after the job was done. That's terrific guys, not many businesses will provide you this kind of information. Turn around time was 24 hours so I've got my computer back the next day! It's very important because all my business depends on it! Thank you so much again!

Reviewing my experience on trying to get my 2010 MacBook Air fixed (won't turn on, no water damage). Diagnostic is free. Problem was unclear, possible corrosion. They offered a deep cleaning service, free of charge IF it doesn't fix the issue, $299 if it does. If the issue is not solved, they'd further investigate on possible motherboard issues and that's a different price.

They wouldn't know the charge until then, of course. At the end of the day it's a business, and its in midtown so it's fair. Gentleman that helped me out was very kind and helpful. I believe his name is Dayvon.
