FOR BUSINESSES ONLY! Don't come here if you're just a regular person and want to talk to a person. Until you get right outside the door, you won't see that it's only for business contracts. Maybe something changed since previous reviews, but I would appreciate it if it were clearer that it's not for regular people before I rode all the way here.

A couple of years ago, I brought my Lenovo Y50 laptop here because it wouldn't turn on. Here, I was told my laptop wouldn't start, and had a strange smell coming from the inside, so the motherboard was most likely dead. I was told it was probably time to think of buying a new laptop. I was disappointed, but accepted it. This cost me about $50 for this quick diagnosis.
Half a year ago, I still had this broken laptop and happened to be traveling to Vietnam, so I figured I'd see if some small shop there could take a look for a 2nd opinion. Abroad, my laptop was diagnosed for free (fried power chip) and repaired in under 24 hours for less than what I paid here. Six months later my laptop is still working through heavy usage.
My suggestion for Up Time Technology is that they don't charge a lot of money if it's an extremely quick diagnosis (especially without details like what I got). Maybe I came on a bad day, but I'd imagine a repair shop like this would have the resources to probe around a motherboard to find the problem.

I first hired Up Time Technology to build me a dual boot (XP of blessed memory and Windows 7 Professional) machine in 2010. They sat down with me and suggested a configuration in the middle for my QuickBooks consulting business. They pointed out that I didn't need to use a i7 chip for my set up, review, and training business and an i3 would be under-powered.
Now seven years later, it is still running strong. I then went back when I had hard disk problems. They replaced the drive with a solid state drive, suggested that since I could do a fresh install that this would be a good time to switch to using a 64 bit operating system (I had chosen 32 bit because of problems with QuickBooks and 64 bit systems when I first got it built), and doubled my memory to 8 GB. Price was reasonable, on budget, and delivered on time. I recommend them to my clients who need real computers and not the crap sold at big box stores or Costco.

Up Time put a new speaker system into my restaurant. I knew next to nothing about speakers so I was a little worried but they made the process very easy. The owner, Tyson, is a very good guy and provides excellent customer service. He cares deeply about providing his customers with the best solution, and making sure everything is done right. They did a very good, thorough job, and left the restaurant cleaner than it was when they got there. Tyson has stopped by twice since to make sure everything is still working well. His customer service is unmatched.

Up Time Technology is one of the best companies that I have ever worked with. When our firm has an issue, someone with Up Time can always respond and help us out. Our company has never been left waiting to receive service. From the Up Time staff who answer the phone to those who provide the services are very professional. I do believe 100% there is an advantage to working with Up Time and that no matter who answers the phone or who helps you out, they know who you are and are more than familiar with your company and what your needs are.
Our company is stronger and more successful because we can depend on Up Time and the staff. Up Time provides the service we need and when we need it. From a simple to large repair to the dollars you spend, Up Time takes it all in account and are very upfront with what is best for the long term. Thanks to Up Time for all the great service and we look forward to many years ahead working with you.

I couldn't be happier with this place. My power supply took out my motherboard, but I wasn't sure what else it took down. Instead of spending hours myself, buying new parts, and figuring out what else broke piece by piece, they did it for $35 flat. Great service, fast turnaround, and helped answer every single question I had. I hope I don't have any other problems with my PC, but if I do, I'll go here without hesitation!

Completely satisfied with my experience at Up Time Technology! My 5 year old MacBook started to act sluggish and extremely slow. Seeing as I know very little about computer problems, I needed HELP! The front desk person, Karen, was super helpful and Scott went to work on my laptop. Within 24 hours they were able to save my data, install a new hard drive and upgrade my RAM.now it runs like new! I could not be happier. A huge "thank you!" to Up Time, I will certainly be returning for any future problems. Hopefully, not for awhile :-

I've been a customer for about 8 years & thought these guys were the best! I recommended them to everyone. Sadly, not so anymore. The work is fine but forget customer service. Better dare not ask a question unless you're a serious techie - otherwise expect to be treated with a rude and arrogant attitude. The owner used to be a nice guy but maybe he just needed the business then. Too bad.

Up Time was referred to me by my sister, who takes all her computer needs there. I called in because I was having an issue with my USB ports not recognizing my flash drives. The service tech was very helpful! He explained that sometimes that happens and that the easy solution is to unplug all USB devices and shut the computer down for 5+ minutes. (I unplugged everything from the computer, including the power cord, just to be thorough). Then, restart with only the keyboard and mouse connected. After that, one by one, plug back in the USB devices. IT WORKED! I was SO relieved :-D I'll certainly choose Up Time again with any other computer needs. Thank you!

I can't even count how many times I've purchased equipment or had computer service done by these folks over the past 20 years or so. They are not the cheapest, but it is always fixed the first time. The hardware they sell is high quality at a competitive price. Their advice and support is always spot-on. Even their managed services like e-mail run seemlessly. There are cheaper places out there, but if your time is valuable, I recommend them highly!

I brought in a pc that I had reinstalled Windows on. After the reinstall, I couldn't connect to a wireless network and after several hours of trying to install the drivers from the dell web site I decided I needed the help of a professional. Both when I called the store and when I dropped off the computer, the employees were extremely courteous. Scott called a day later and explained what the problem was and how he fixed it. I did not feel rushed. In the end, I had my computer back and working in 24 hours. They charged me for 30 minutes of work. I am extremely pleased.

I loved their service. Actually I didn't know this place. I had to take laptop of my sister for a repair. It has been done from here. I got recommendation from her. After talking with them, they took five minutes and said to take it after one day. Just after one day called for taking. It was still okay.

I've been using Up Time for my personal and business computer needs for the last 20 years. They build custom machines exactly the way I want them, usually for the same price as Dell or HP. And they service what they sell - usually on the same day. I recently had a problem with a new machine where it only happened when my treadmill was running. David, the technician from Up Time came to my office and thoroughly analyzed the problem. He's got a lot of experience on all the things that can go wrong, and I was thoroughly impressed. And I'm an engineer by trade, and used to work on computers myself. I trust these guys. Buy with confidence that you're getting a good deal and expert help.

Uptime Technology has provided us with superior support for over 12 years. Our network has grown over that time from a 5 workstations to 68. Because the quality of their products is so high we have not had many times to evaluate their emergency service. When we have needed on site service it has always been timely. Our network has never failed us in 12 years. Uptime products are dependable.
They even notify us of inventory challenges they for see for our environment. They are honest, friendly, knowledgeable, people who provide excellent advice for our future system planning. I highly recommend their people, products and services.

We are an accounting firm and cannot afford down-time. Like their name says, Up Time Technology gets that! Every time we have had a technical issue with hardware, the customer service - from the front desk to their back office - blows us away. They are knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, professional and extremely responsive. They are the best!

I run a small consulting firm and when my ONLY laptop died, I discovered Up Time. Everyone on their staff was helpful and friendly. they did not "scold" me for owning only one computer, let alone not backing up my data within the past 30 days. Within a couple of hours, they had outfitted me with a loaner laptop while my machine was in for repairs.
They are a two-generation, family-run business in Seattle. If you want that small town feel (where everybody knows you), but need professional tech support at a fair price, give them a call.

I spilled orange juice on my Sony laptop. Spilling liquids on your keyboard is something that other people do, until it happens to you. Scott Gallagher, the tech at Up Time Technology, sent me a link to an Amazon business, to purchase a new keyboard, (so that I could obtain the warranty.) I brought it in to Scott and he installed, while I waited. He took the extra time to match up my graphite colored plastic face, so the computer wouldn't look patchwork. All this within one week!

I was disappointed by the service I received and the response when I e-mailed about the issues. I have had decent experiences here in the past but doubt I would return. Initially I justified paying more and traveling further because they were a "mom and pop" shop rather than going to a big box location but it wasn't worth it in the end. The cost vs. quality of service just did not match up, and the arrogance I experienced was a but much to take.

I purchased my computer from Uptime and had great service with this purchase; I have also had good repair service on past systems. However, I purchased new antiviral software from them and I had a crummy experience with their customer service and the product itself. When I spoke to a technician about my problem, I got the strong impression that I was imposing on him.
My needs were not met; my questions were left unanswered and unresolved. Therefore, that being said I looked up the 1-800 number and got my concerns addressed adequately and the problem in question was resolved. I would not advise calling and asking questions over the phone, I was told that I was asking for "free services". Even after making a purchase of the product in question. My advice is be careful when asking for anything "extra".

Getting your computer repaired is like trying to find a mechanic: I know nothing about the machine, I have a sneaking suspicion that the mechanic is trying to screw me, and it always costs a lot of money. That being said, the first two worries are essentially eliminated by going to Up Time. I have taken my laptop there twice now and have had very positive experiences both times.
The front desk person is extremely nice and friendly. The techinician I've had both times, Scott G. explains EVERYTHING (even stuff I just nod my head to and pretend to understand). I ask stupid questions and he doesn't even blink an eye. Yesterday, after replacing my hard drive, he even spent extra time with me trying to figure out how to fix my keyboard. It's expensive, but all computer repair is expensive.
They warranty the hard drives they put in for three years, which is a long time. They removed a virus from my computer before and gave me excellent advice on which virus program to use that would actually protect my computer. Not having my computer is like missing a limb, and I called twice in a day to check on it. They were still nice to me, and that is saying something.
