I have had 2 experiences with this company. 1 I thought was good until today and the other not so well. I bought a laptop from this company for school, school came around and I took out my laptop I purchased from this company and tried to log in to my network at school. The computer was defective as the keyboard didn't work. I requested a refund to which they told me they offered 0 refunds to people and as a "courtesy" he would not charge me to fix (will take days) the broken laptop they sold me. after telling him this was unacceptable and that he sold me a broken device which I can't be sure that is the only problem with it.
I left the store upset and flabbergasted. this is the same company i just spent the better portion of $2,800 to build me a computer to do a dive deep dive today where they over charged me 600 for an I7 processor market value of 580 at the time and charged me over $1,100 for it. I would not recommend this company to anyone and have you steer clear of them and their tactics.
I will be reporting them to the BBB and subsequently if that does nothing I will be taking them to small claims court. Consumers who buy defective products have protection under federal law. The ubiquitous personal computer industry is not immune from the lemon law

Top Notch! I've gone to MCT several times in a near state of panic (my laptop is my life). Mike and Russ have always managed to get me back in business quickly. And if the problem is a quick fix, they won't gouge you by charging an arm and a leg. Prices are quite reasonable and service is quick and thorough. They're my first "go to" guys!

Took my laptop in this am. Told an older guy my friend(who lives in another state) said my issue was more than likely a corrupted startup file(after we had gone through several different efforts to get it back running). His response was what does your friend do, work at Walmart and play games? I informed him my friend has a PhD and works for a software company.
He said those are great "friends" to have and rolled his eyes at me. I said dont you think that was a little sarcastic. Again, very smug and sarcastic. I promptly grabbed my laptop and said I'll take my bleeping business elsewhere. Drove down to collierville and took it to PATTON Computers. Great service, no attitude and polite. I dont mind driving for no attitude and great service.

After noticing for a while my laptop would overheat, I finally got an error message not to continue using it. I brought it here after looking at the star ratings and explained to the guy there was a problem with the fan. i asked how must would my price range be to fix it and he said between $150-$175. Thought that was kinda pricey but left it anyway.
He said it would be ready in about a week. A day or so later he called and said he had good news and that the fan wasn't broken at all. I had some small plastic pieces inside my computer that had broken off of something and they had gotten caught in between the fan and that's why it was over heating. i was glad to hear that because i thought that meant my fee would be less since there was nothing to fix so when i asked how much it would be and that i was on my way to get it, he said$144.00!
I was shocked. How can you charged a person $150 -$175 to fix something broken and then charge a customer$144 and you didn't have to fix anything only take it apart and shake out the loose pieces? i feel like I got screwed so i wont be taking my desktop there. He was a very pleasant guy but their prices are too steep for me.

Took laptop in since it would not come on. Was informed that the hard drive was bad but he managed to pull 17GB of pictures and documents from it. He wanted $150 to move the files to an external hard drive or $450 for a new laptop. I paid for the diagnostic $35 and took the laptop with me. The hard drive was removed. I took it to someone I know, he plugged in the hard drive and it was fine.
Probably a corrupt Windows file that caused the problem. It will be fixed with all the files intact and fresh install of Windows 10 for $140. I will NEVER set foot in this ripoff joint again. Update: No profanity exchange here unless idiot qualifies. The laptop that I had repaired is running fine and still has the same hard drive that was reinstalled. Your exaggeration of the situation is staggering. YOU messed up yet you are not human enough to admit it. Take the bad with the good.

For many years, I have gone to Micro Computer Technologies with my computer issues. I have never once been disappointed in the service or the kindness and considerations, the respect, and the friendliness of Mike and the other employees there. As for as I am concerned, the is the ONLY place in Memphis, TN that can possibly handle a computer issue with perfection.
