Long before I established Helping Hand in 1998, I developed a strong work ethic working in my father's grocery store. The way my father communicated with clients, getting to know them and really caring about their wants and needs, left an indelible impression on me. I went on to apply this work ethic to everything I did, like achieving Gold Eagle Scout status, and spending my early years building and racing cars. I always enjoyed working with my mind and hands, which led me to work as a toolmaker for a manufacturing company for 28 years.
