In 1940 James F. Cahill started an accounting firm in LaSalle. In 1966, the company added to its services by offering a modern computer service bureau giving a full range of accounting capabilities. At the same time the company incorporated under the name James F. Cahill & Company. James F. Cahill & Company has since merged with R/D Computer Sales & Service and continues to provide quality computer services to its customers. Many companies were realizing that some jobs that had formerly been sent out to computer service bureaus could now be done cheaper and faster in house, with micros or minis.

Connecting Point Computer Center offers a cloud AV (anti-virus) endpoint solution called AV Defender. AV Defender is provided through the use of our N-Able MSP software. An N-Able agent is installed on our customer's device (server, PC, laptop) which allows the AV endpoint program to be implemented.
Connecting Point offers a solution for organizations that need staff augmentation for certain business operations. Sometime in 1974 a LCCA (Lionel Collectors Club of America) member by the name of Jim Hunt stopped at our office, R/D Computer Sales and Services, LTD. in LaSalle IL and asked if we could print labels.

I called support for updating a computer that has not been online for awhile which I prefer not to be online because the internet stinks but Matt (in support) was wonderful he could have just said bring it in and they could have charged me to update but he told me what to do it worked out wonderfully and he was very helpful and cared about my dilemma and was very patient! We've bought computers from them for years and I would highly recommend them to anybody cuz I truly trust them!

Great place to get exactly what one needs. Service is great and the virus protection they offer is of quality. My new computer was set up just the way I wanted it including data transferred from the old unit and even a program installed as per requested. I also like the no pressure salesmen who simply address the needs of the customer and not trying to sell higher priced stuff. No gimmicks here.just quality items with fine 'human'/no automated/ right here in America service. I'll be back for sure.

Very excellent service. The best service. No other computer service like it has ever been had. Their employees are excellent, just the best. The best computer employees I have ever seen. Keep up the good work! Only reason for a 4/5 instead of 5/5 was because one of the employees had some bad odor. He smelled peculiarly of guinea pigs.

Great service and they have a nice employee there, I can't remember the name off the tip of my tongue, but he had nice strong arms that I assume he uses for throwing baseballs and he was able to wipe all of the questionable data and related viruses from my harddrive. He wasn't judgemental and I assume the rest of the staff are just as fantastic. This is like a hospital for computers except better because there's no waiting room.
