OWNER WHO CARES I have been a loyal customer of Outsource for several years. The owner of the company has restored my faith in business as he reached out to me personally to resolve a difficult situation we were having. He did not have to do that but it certainly speaks volumes to his commitment to customer satisfaction. Issue resolved! Stay away, overpriced and under qualified. Our company contracted with OSG in September for 5 user IT support. During the initial setup the tech noticed that one of the 4 hard drives on our server was bad. OSG quoted a price that was fair to replace the drive and arranged for their tech to come in and replace it. Without too many details it took their tech's 4 attempts over four weeks to crash our server, complete data loss.
Then they walked away from it. The fourth tech could not figure out what the problem was and left with the server unable to boot, our office was down, files, accounting, emails. Later, we received a call from the owner of OSG telling me that the server was old (2008) and needs to be replaced anyway at a cost of $8000 w/ 16 hour of rebuild time. We immediately called in another IT services company for a second opinion.
They came out within an hour and it was their opinion that significant changes were made to the RAID configuration on the server and that caused the crash. They also quoted us a new server for $2400 and 5 hours to rebuild, which we bought and we're up and running. The sad part of the story is after we hung up with owner of OSG they never called back.
They knew our server was down; they made no attempt to help with recovery and get our company back up, restore data, emails, etc. It wasn't until four days later that we received a call from the salesman asking if we want to go with the new server? Bottom line, OSG left us out in the cold. They botched the install of a new drive on our server, tried to sell us something four times more expensive than what we need and did not perform the disaster recovery duties they were hired for.
