Virginia Broadband is a high-speed Wireless Internet Service Provider - "WISP". We provide Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) for our customers to the fiber-optic backbone of the Internet using geographically redundant connections. VABB customers connect to the Internet using wireless radio spectrum. We reach you from one of over 120 broadcast sites across our network.Your connection will use 900 Mhz, 2.4 Ghz, 5 Ghz or MMW (Millimeter Wave) 5G technology where practical. VABB also provides Campus Wi-Fi systems to help you connect all your outbuildings to the Internet using point-to-point radio antennas and other HotSpot technologies so you can enjoy the Internet from anywhere on your property.

You too can enjoy the freedom of a high-speed broadband connection with VABB. Our customers connect to the Internet using radio spectrum to reach your location from over 100 broadcast sites.
A cable will be run from the outside antenna to the VABB subscriber unit located inside your home or business. Standard Installation: $200 install fee on first month's bill for all new lines of service. A certified professional Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) installer will complete a free multi-spectrum site survey included as part of a new installation appointment.
We deliver the Internet to your location through a variety of radio frequencies transmitted from one of our 120 "broadcast" locations throughout 14 counties in Central and Eastern VA. We broadcast our Internet service from local commercial towers, silos, barns, private utility poles, and houses that sit high on hills.
At any time you can upgrade your service plan with no additional charges. You can also downgrade your service plan once a year. Our local staff will work with you to ensure the plan you are on meets your Internet needs and your budget. There is a 24 month commitment for service. After you have met the terms of the contract your service is provided on a month-to-month basis with no contractual time limits.

Total Game Changer. We were using a local satellite internet service in the Northern Neck with extremely poor service near Kilmarnock, VA. We were unable to stream a single TV or video meeting without lag and interruptions. A friend off the Corrotoman River told me about VB. Installation was within 1.5 weeks of calling and the service is a complete game changer. I can now work from home and the family can stream video content without problems. Great service.

Coming from the city to a rural area I wasn't sure what to expect with fixed point wireless internet. The service that VABB provides highly depends on your location relative to towers and line of sight, etc. For my house I tend to get okay speeds and decent latency. Where VABB shines is the customer support and help you can get from the sales side.
Every interaction with them has been great. They are great at communicating and have never misled me in anyway. Their people show up on time. They have been willing to go the extra mile to make sure that my gear is working as well as possible. I just wish they had a fiber network to my house. Overall they seem like people that really care about providing the best service they can.

I talked to William from their tech department and he explained how fixed wifi internet works and it made perfect sense to me. If you have a football game steaming, your kids playing games on tv and a wife doing her blog then there will be a traffic jam or bottleneck. When all the traffic clears out and there is only one person left on line the speed will be faster.
It also depends on how many devices are hooked up to your system and how data is being pulled. Also the internet is a large global highway with everyone is pulling data, downloading data or uploading data. There will be lags sometimes or buffering. Just like sometimes your get stuck in traffic jams. There is no way to avoid it all the time. But be thankful. I am sure what you have is better than dial up. Trust me I know. I live in the country. I have been a customer of VABB for 2+ years, using the internet extensively as a lifeline for my business. I am delighted with the reliability of their service as well as the internet speed. While the download speed is good, the upload speed is amazing. On the few occasions I needed to call because of an internet issue, the person answering was knowledgeable and courteous and the issue was resolved quickly. I highly recommend VABB to others.

Last October, 2020, I lost my credit card and had to replace it. I updated my credit card information everywhere I was on auto pay but I forgot about Virginia Broadband. After a year of not receiving a payment from me my service was turned off. I called to report that I didn't have any service and that's when I found out the problem. William, took my updated credit card information and brought my account back to zero and "flipped the switch" to restore my service. Attempts had been made to email me of the problem but that was another thing that had changed! William updated my email address and now if there's a problem I can be notified. I was amazed that they waited a whole year for me to get in touch with them and pay what was owed.

Service is good for the area. has its normal drops when storms hit, but other than that, worked great for us. response times when its down could be a little better but have to be understanding to those sort of things. was able to play online video games in one room and stream movies and tv shows in another. while everyone in the house were on their phones. for the area, all around decent internet, for not a terrible price too.

Virginia Broadband service has been exceptional! I have had no problem with the speed or reliability. I was able to use multiple devices while streaming videos. The customer care was very supportive and quick to install. It is a great alternative to Atlantic Broadband. I would highly recommended them to others.

So, I asked a simple question to Virginia Broadband today. If I were being cyberstalked, would you help me collect evidence? William, a salesperson, said, "No." There is a router that connects to the Virginia Broadband Internet service. He advised me to keep track of the activity on my router. I was disappointed. For $100.00 a month, couldn't I have gotten a technology report that stated who might be getting into my wireless connection?
