Mary was a pleasure to work with to set up my account and schedule my install. Although there were a few adjustments to the original installation date/time Kasey and Matt work through them and I was operational on schedule. The customer service, installation and technology blows Hughes away. Absolutely no comparison.

Greg from Point Broadband was so helpful and nice! He got my wifi set up quickly with no issues, walked me through how to set up my account and the app, and was super easy to work with. I also worked with Josh to schedule my appointment time and I emailed him with a few questions as well, which he responded to quickly. Everyone from their team that I've interacted with has been helpful, quick to respond, and patient with my many questions. The wifi speed is GREAT. I work from home full time and they just made my job so much easier. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Michael Hallmark is the best tech ever! He was totally dedicated to solving the VPN issues we were experiencing even when it took months of trouble shooting. I can honestly say in all my experience with internet providers, I've never had a technician that was willing to invest so much time and effort in finding a solution. Additionally, he worked around my schedule not a 4 hour window like most providers so my work day was never impacted.

This ISP is run by incompetent people. The only "value" Pont Broadband brings to the table is collecting the money from your local community and sending out of your local community. Of course, Comcast does the same thing. So if you have a choice between the two, you might as as well go with the company that provides the best service. That's Comcast.
Regarding the money thing. with Point Broadband, the majority of customer payments (YOUR MONEY) are not staying in your local community. All that money is going to Rackspace in Texas. Point Broadband outsources all major services of your Internet service to Rackspace. You can verify this by traceroute-ing their major service end-points. Point Broadband acquired our previously reliable ISP (BVU Internet) in the Bristol VA/TN and surrounding areas.
Two years ago, Point Broadband disabled the ability for residential customers to use private domain names in their e-mail configuration. In other words, a customer cannot set the reply-to address that they want recipients to use when responding to their e-mail. So, if you want to conveniently run your private e-mail on a private domain then you will need to find another ISP that will allow this. Comcast is not so rude to prevent you from doing that.

Seems to have come in and ruined a local broadband company that had stellar reviews beforehand. There are outages multiple times per week, and they follow up with deleting their customers' feedback from their facebook page rather than address the issue. They delete their own posts announcing previous outages to make things not seem as bad as they are. If these guys come into your community, be warned!
