Matt has been my go to geek for years. Most recently, my laptop fried in the trunk on a 90 degree day. Who knew? He took this devastated customer from here to there in one day. I left with my old system backed up, my files saved, and my Quicken restored On a nice refurbished Like new laptop. So much value for the money. And he never makes me feel computer illiterate. Last, he always gets back to me. So grateful to have found Matt.

I did not maintain a backup and all my important files were on my laptop. I thought my laptop and all data was lost when I accidentally knocked over a glass of water on my laptop! My initial thought was to go to Best Buy. What a mistake! I was referred to PC Alternatives by one of their competitors who also could not fix my issue, and I thought it was very professional and classy for them to send me here. Great service, damaged my power jack to laptop rendering it useless. I received a quick response from Matt with quote and time frame for repairs. Laptop was repaired on same day replacement parts arrived. Price was very reasonable and I kept up to date through out the process.

Wonderful experience. I had an incident where my laptop stopped working, went to them since I lived down the street. I called ahead and basically parked and they picked up my device from my car for me. Within an hour they were performing a diagnostic on my device and provided me honest and useful information via text with pictures so that it was easier for me to understand.

As a technical support agent, I really appreciate honest and prompt assistance. Although my device was pretty much fried, due to it being purchased as refurbished, they did not try to badger me or up sell me. I will now recommend their services to anyone with laptop issues. Thank you again!

They have been keeping my old (but powerful) laptop alive and kicking for the past two years, saving my data and bacon several times. Service has been quick, and their comments and recommendations informative. After experiencing some other repair services, I am ALWAYS pleasantly surprised at the cost. Try them. Excellent service! Matt explained the process for diagnosing computer issues so well and kept me up to date with everything going on with my computer while he and his team worked on it. I am so grateful that he was able to help me out and fix the issues I had with my computer. He also consulted me and suggested recommendations to keep my computer backed up and safe, and explained everything thoroughly.

I'm not tech savvy so I needed a pro to help set up my new laptop and extract the data from my old one onto a zip drive, as it had shut down from a recent update. Matt had been more than happy to text me through laptop shopping up to setup. He even had the job done in one day. When I hit a bump in getting my laptop up and running he was there to help right away. I won't take my computer anywhere else from now on.

My computer takes a daily beating in my line of work, and finally it just completely died on me the other day. I just moved nearby, so I didn't have a local go-to for repairs. Matt was great, and they had me back online quickly - as soon as the part came in, it was fixed same day, and for just the cost of the bench-test. I've got my new go-to, and would recommend them to anyone.

So when it comes to matters like this I like to give it time to see if the service is really up to par. I took my laptop here a few months ago and it is functioning better than ever. Just a little background.it is an older Toshiba that I hadn't used in years. It needed about 300 updates and it had viruses galore. Took them about a week to fix it. If you have an old laptop just laying around bring it here. You will not be disappointed.

My computer when on the fritz. he was able to fix it for under the estimated cost did in in a few days other places said it would be 2 weeks.great service.nice staff

I went to this location for the first time a week ago, and I am very satisfied with the service. I kept getting an error message on my laptop saying I needed to get the fan replaced, and it was causing unpredictable crashes every time I used it. I went to other locations before I went here to get the fan replaced, and they all told me that the model of my laptop was too old to have it replaced, charging me just to inspect the laptop and fan.

I decided to try one last location, this one, and it turned out there was a different issue with the fan, not that it needed to be replaced. Since my visit, I have been using my laptop regularly, and not a single error message has popped up. I am glad that they were able to detect the REAL issue and also for a reasonable price. In addition, the service was outstanding and welcoming, and my laptop was fixed within hours of dropping it off. Overall, I highly recommend this place, and I'll be returning if I have any computer issues in the future.

PC Alternative had great customer service. Matt was very knowledgable about my hardware issues. I highly recommend you pay this man a visit if you have any laptop, desktop, smartphone or tablet issues. I'm highly satisfied with the outcome.

This place is horrible. Horrible customer service and prices. I left this place more confused about what to do with my computer than I did coming in. They rip you off so hard. They quoted me $75 to "fully diagnose" what was wrong with the computer. I took it to my neighbor and he took apart my computer in a few minutes for free. Just get one of the computer wizards in you neighborhood to take care of your problems. The owner also tried to give me a call to take down my bad review.

I just brought my laptop in and it wasn't worth fixing So I was able to purchase another one and back up my files and pictures. Very reasonable prices and awesome staff. Matt will defiantly help you out!

We found out about PC ALTERNATIVES online. My daughter left her laptop on the floor and it was stepped on accidentally. the screen was cracked and the toolbar was flickering. I met Matt and he was professional and courteous. He reassured me that they could fix it and gave me a reasonable quote range. We were called later that week, the cost was on the lower range of the quote and it's worked perfectly since. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Matt and his technicians are extremely professional and honest. Excellent customer service and great knowledge for computer repairs! They were able to save my laptop without having me replace a motherboard or need to buy a new computer! I highly recommend them to anybody in the Hampton Roads area!

First time going to a pc repair place. They were unable to recover Windows 8 on my pc after it crashes for an unknown reason. The rep I dealt with was very friendly and helpful but it bothered me that I never actually talked to the tech that worked on my pc. They seemed a bit high priced as well, but since I have nothing to compare to, not sure.
